Track star: Kaila McKnight is ready to go for tomorrow morning’s semi-final in the 1500m

LEONGATHA’S Kaila McKnight rocketed into the Olympic 1500m semi-final on Monday night after placing fifth in her heat.

McKnight led the group for almost the whole final lap of the race with her competitors managing to slip in front in the last 100 metres.

The semi-final will be at 4.45am AEST tomorrow (Thursday) morning and should be aired on Channel Nine as part of their Olympic coverage.
