Truck driver trapped

Trapped: Emergency crews work to free the trapped truck driver earlier today (Tuesday).

A TRUCK has rolled off Jumbunna Road and has trapped the driver in the cab.

The driver is conscious and has non-life threatening injuries but an air ambulance was waiting to take him from the scene.

Tow trucks have secured the truck while paramedics, CFA and Sate Emergency Service members work to free the man from the wreckage.

Sergeant Jason Hullick from Bass Coast Highway Patrol was on the scene and said the driver was “lucky”.

“We had to wait until the truck was secure but now the main objective is getting him out of the cab,” he said.

Police, Ambulance, SES and CFA workers are at the scene and the road remains blocked as of 1:30pm.

The incident happened between Jumbunna and Moyarra at around 10am today.
