Baking for a cause

AN Inverloch cancer fundraising couple sold 667 cupcakes on Australia Day, collecting $1600 for Peter McCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, along with donations.

Since Boxing Day, the bakers Sheila and Andrew Downey have sold just under 2000 cupcakes in Inverloch and profited around $4500.

Sheila is pictured with some of their quality cakes, as they head towards $60,000 raised for the cancer centre in the past six years.

Orders for cupcakes can be placed via the Downeys’ Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cupcakes4cancer1/
