Parrots’ day out

LEONGATHA footballers and netballers united to sing the Parrots’ song after the club won three premierships at Morwell today.

The Parrots’ Reserves, and A and B grade netballers took home the silverware, and savoured the moment by banding together on the netball court after A Grade’s comprehensive win.

The players’ jubilance echoed in their voices as they sang, everyone wearing a smile that declared how special the moment was.

A Grade netballers finished the season undefeated with a 48 to 39 win over Sale.

B Grade conquered Traralgon by three points, 32 to 29.

The Reserves defeated Sale by just seven points, 83 to 76, with two late goals – one courtesy of a penalty due to backchat by a Sale player – to seal the game.

The Reserves’ win was hard fought, with Sale holding the lead throughout much of the game.
