Poker bonanza in Wonthaggi

JULY 1 and 2 saw 138 players from all over Victoria descend on the Wonthaggi Golf Club for the $8000 Special Poker Event hosted by the Australian Poker League (APL).
After two days and 16 hours of play, it was Warragul’s Nathan Kaljouw who took home the $1900 first place.
The next special poker event will be in October.
If you want to be part of it, visit your local poker venue: Sunday 1pm at Wonthaggi Golf Club (free entry); Monday 7pm at McCartins Hotel Leongatha (free entry); Tuesday 7pm at Korumburra Middle Hotel (free entry); Wednesday 7pm at Foster Exchange Hotel (free entry); Thursday 7pm at Continental Hotel Cowes (free entry); Friday 7pm at Wonthaggi Golf Club ($15 entry).
