Quake shakes Prom
AN earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale occurred west of Wilsons Promontory yesterday (Monday).
The quake occurred at 1.14am at a depth of 10km, below the sea.
Geoscience Australia did not receive reports of damage or of how far the earthquake was felt.
Duty seismologist Marco Maldoni said, “When we get an earthquake in an area, it increases the risk of another one occurring.”
