Students pot up for daffodil day

Leongatha Year 2 students, Lucy Carter, Clay Dowe and Beau Glenn were helped prepare their daffodil entries by the president of Leongatha Horticultural Society, Sandra Macdonald.

AMONGST the thousands of daffodils on show at this year’s Leongatha Daffodil Festival will be 80 special ones that have been lovingly cared for over four months.

Students from the Leongatha Primary School will have their names on the flower pots of these special entries reflecting their participation in the event.

In readiness for the festival the schools Year 2 pupils have now carefully placed their bulbs into plastic pots all provided by the Leongatha Horticultural Society.

The society has been involving the students in the festival for the past 10 years by helping them create their individual displays.
