Weapons seized

POLICE found a large machete and scythe in a vehicle in Toora recently.

Police intercepted a 22 year old driver in Stanley Street on Sunday, July 20, for a routine check.

While speaking to the man from Narre Warren North, police observed a large scythe in the rear tray of his ute.

Police later searched the interior of the man’s car and located a large machete.

The offender was issued with an infringement notice for possessing controlled weapon which incurred a fine of $1000.
