Bikes roar through
MORE than 500 motor bikes have just roared through Leongatha on their way to the MotoGP at Phillip Island.
Lots of people lined the main street waving to the bikes, whose riders tooted and waved back.
With a police escort, backed up by a MICA ambulance, the bikes were taking part in the 10th anniversary Barry Sheene Memorial Ride. It started in Bairnsdale and came through Leongatha via Morwell.
The ride is in memory of Barry Sheene and gives fans a chance to celebrate his legacy and share an exhilarating day on the road. The ride ends with a lap around the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit.
