POLICE are hunting a man who appeared naked in front of a woman on the Great Southern Rail Trail at Meeniyan on Sunday morning.

Police received a call from a Leongatha woman who was walking the trail near Minns Road around 10am when she came across the naked man.

He is described as in his seventies with grey hair. He was wearing nothing but his runners. As the woman approached, he pulled on a pair of dark blue long pants and sprinted off.

Leongatha Police patrolled the area however were unable to find anybody matching the description given of the offender.

No other reports have been made.

“If anybody sees the man please call triple zero immediately and do not go up to him,” Senior Sergeant Patrick Hamilton said.

The event is particularly worrying given Meeniyan is building a reputation as being a lovely place to visit.
