FARM World 2013 again saw thousands of visitors from across southern Australia visit Lardner Park, near Warragul for the 51st field days.
The four-day program attracted more than 700 exhibitors who showcased their products and services at the iconic mixed farming and lifestyle event.
The 2013 Farm World theme of agricultural sustainability focused on how farmers can use resources more efficiently and responsibly, with the aim of improving farm profitability and achieving positive environmental outcomes.
Long time Farm World visitor and Deputy Premier Peter Ryan was the keynote speaker at the official opening on Friday.
Media personality, AFL legend and Meat and Livestock Australia ‘Lambassador’, Sam Kekovich also imparted his considered views on the marketing of agricultural products.
The official opening also included the presentation of the Farm World best site awards, the Tractor and Machinery Association of Australia – Farm World Machine of the Year awards and the Commonwealth Bank Best Innovation in Agriculture award.
The Commonwealth Bank’s regional and agribusiness banking executive general manager, Geoff Wearne officially opened this year’s event.
