Libraries open late

School holidays are the perfect time to relax at your local library.

To celebrate West Gippsland Regional Library Corporation have three special opening evenings planned for Bass Coast Libraries in April.

The evenings will also include a very special “bedtime” story time where children are encouraged to come in their pyjamas and bring along their favourite teddy.

The libraries will also be open for normal business on the evenings and members can return or borrow items, read magazines and newspapers or browse collections online.

“Our Libraries – particularly in Bass Coast – are always busy during the school holiday period,” said West Gippsland Regional Library Corporation CEO John Murrell.

“These special open evenings will give library users an extra opportunity to utilise our services during this active time.”

The events follow on from a successful series of activities held during the 2012-13 summer holidays across the region and adds to the growing program of early literacy programs offered by the corporation.

Special Library opening hours in Bass Coast:

  • Inverloch      Library – Saturday April 6, 6pm to 8pm
  • Wonthaggi      Library- Tuesday April 9, 6pm to 8pm
  • Phillip      Island Library- Saturday April 13, 6pm to 8pm

Bedtime Story Time runs at 6.30pm on each date.
