Thousands raised for Ion family
THE community has united to raise almost $50,000 for the Ion Family following the tragic death of 16 year old Campbell in a road accident over the weekend.
Campbell’s brother, Lucas, is remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Friend of the family, Daniel Beyer, started a GoFundMe page to help support the family who have a difficult road ahead.
“Lucas and his family are going to be going through some big challenges in the next coming days months and years and if we can raise some money for them, then that’s one less thing they have to worry about,” Mr Beyer wrote.
In an amazing show of community spirit, the fund has been heavily subscribed in just a few days.
