Venus Bay resident Anne McIntyre is South Gippsland Shire’s citizen of the year.
She won the top gong in recognition of her dedication to the Venus Bay Community Emergency Response Team, foster care and Venus Bay Angling Club, and other community contributions.
The Leongatha Courthouse Centenary celebrations won community event of the year.
Sam Wilson, Eleanor McKenzie and Ashley Heath received young contribution certificates.
The awards were presented at a ceremony at Leongatha Memorial Hall last night.
