What’s in a name?

Graeme ‘Grubby’ Salmon was rewarded for years of service to the Nerrena Recreation Reserve by having the oval named after him.
Grubby was the inaugural secretary of the ground, and a grounds-keeper for over 20 years.
He is pictured here with family members Kurt Hall, Tim Salmon, Narelle Salmon, Isla Hickey, Michelle Hickey, Ash Hickey, Karlie Hall, Jonah Hall, Rhien Hall, Luke Hall, Sari and Levi Hickey.
The naming of the oval was part of Nerrena’s 75th anniversary celebrations that were held Saturday night. More details in this week’s Star.
