Surfing honour<\/h1>\n

Nikki Van Dijk of Phillip Island placed equal 9th at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach on Tuesday, April 22.<\/h3>\n

Van Dijk reached round four where she was eliminated by reigning ASP World Champion Carissa Moore.<\/h3>\n

The Minister for Sport and Recreation Damian Drum met Ms Van Dijk at Parliament House and says, \u201cNot only is she a world class surfer, she is a great role model and inspiration for all young female athletes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nikki\u2019s younger brother Joe last week claimed a silver medal at the International Surfing Association 2014 World Junior Championship in Ecuador.<\/p>\n
