{"id":13056,"date":"2023-11-30T17:20:46","date_gmt":"2023-11-30T17:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thestar.test\/2023\/11\/30\/race-into-kernart-prize\/"},"modified":"2023-12-02T18:30:06","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T18:30:06","slug":"race-into-kernart-prize","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thestar.com.au\/blog\/race-into-kernart-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Race into KernART Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"metasingle\"> \t\t\t\t<span class=\"postDate\">Tuesday, October 9th, 2018<\/span> | <span class=\"postAuthor\">Posted by <a href=\"\/blog\/author\/tayla\/\" title=\"Posts by Tayla Kershaw\" rel=\"author\">Tayla Kershaw<\/a><\/span> \t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><!-- \/metas <!-- --> \t\t\t \t\t\t<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"singlePageTitle\">Race into KernART Prize<\/h1>\n<p>AFTER a successful art show last year, the KernART Prize is on again at the Kernot Community Hall on the Melbourne Cup weekend.<br \/> The judge this year is well known artist, sculptor and print maker Susan Hall and there is a total prize pool of $2500 available.<br \/> Open to artists of all abilities, the prize aims to bring together a community of art-loving and art-starting people from across, the Bass Coast, South Gippsland and beyond.<br \/> KernART is working with Bass Coast Health (BCH) to raise funds for the children of people with mental health issues.<br \/> Profits raised by the art show will enable BCH to provide these local children with what they need to live a happier life supported by their peer groups, whether it be through sporting activities, arts and crafts or music.<br \/> Entries can be made online at www.KernARTprize.com and all mediums are encouraged including paintings, original prints, sculpture and photography. See our website for entry details and conditions.<br \/> There will be a \u2018dress to impress\u2019 grand opening on Friday, November 2, from 7pm to 9pm.
