AFNL Grand Final Day
MEENIYAN really turned it on for the staging of the Alberton Football Netball League grand finals on Saturday.
The weather was perfect and a bumper crowd of 5000 people paid $32,075 at the gate, just down on last year’s record gate of $33, 350 at Wonthaggi.
As the Meeniyan ground filled to capacity with cars, the whole Meeniyan township was chock-a-block with cars filled with fans keen to see great action.
Hats off to a well behaved crowd and to the MDU Football Netball Club for staging a magnificent event.
